  3.     │   This file, WINMODE.ZIP, contains a utility which will identify   │
  4.     │   which version of Windows (and what mode it's in) is running      │
  5.     │   at a DOS prompt (ie Windows shell to DOS function).  This can    │
  6.     │   be very useful for your own programs to identify when Windows    │
  7.     │   or the DOS Task Switcher (re: DOS 5 Shell) is resident so        │
  8.     │   you won't do things that may potentially screw them up and       │
  9.     │   lock up the system, or worse...   It comes straight from         │
  10.     │   PC Magazine, a name you can usually trust for fine utilities,    │
  11.     │   but was reworked & recompiled with Borland Turbo C v2.0 as       │
  12.     │   opposed to the Microsoft C it was originally written for.        │
  13.     │   Sorry, I only have Turbo C and Borland C++ to play around        │
  14.     │   with.  Hope this turns out to be useful.                         │
